Volunteers are the lifeblood of any community group or organisation. As a community theatre, we simply could not operate without the kind and very generous donations of time, expertise and know-how that our volunteers bring.
You don’t need to be a member to be part of a performance – but its always wonderful for you to be part of the team!
There are many ways you can volunteer and assist with the theatre – and thats not just performing.
Tech Crew – we are always looking for dedicated sound and lighting volunteers. With a new led system and exciting capabilities for both sound and lighting, these roles have become more specialist and need some intense training to be part of this elite group. We will be conducting intense workshops at varying levels of expertise during the year so that you are able to operate the equipment safely and with confidence. Keep an eye out on our newsletters and facebook for dates.
FOH ( Front of House) With our bar and snack area becoming larger and in more demand for pre show and intervals, we need dedicated volunteers who are willing to assist. The role involves checking tickets, pouring wine, making simple cocktails, selling raffle tickets and liaising with the stage manager and tech team during the night. Some knowledge of ipad/ screen is needed for our point of sale system. If you don’t have your RSA, the theatre is willing to pay for your online training – as all FOH must have an RSA to assist. Specialised training will be scheduled throughout the year to upskill volunteers with the procedures and processes to conduct what is required for FOH.
